Welcome to Long Meadow Elementary School!

Principal's Message

Dear Long Meadow Elementary School Families,

As we open our school doors to another exciting school year here at Long Meadow Elementary School in Region 15, I want to welcome you all back to what promises to be an exceptional year of learning, growth, and achievement. The 2023-2024 school year brings with it the promise of new beginnings, fresh opportunities, and the chance for each and every one of our students to shine brightly.

Our dedicated and professional team of educators and support staff have been hard at work planning and preparing to provide our students with the best possible educational experience. Our commitment to providing opportunities for academic, social, and emotional growth remains unwavering, and we are excited to build on the successes of the past while meeting the challenges and opportunities of the future. At Long Meadow Elementary School, we believe that every child is unique and brings their individual strengths to the larger Long Meadow community. Our mission is to nurture each student’s individual talents, interests, and potential. We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and can grow to their potential.

As parents and guardians, your involvement and support play a key role in the success of our school community. We encourage you to stay engaged with your child's education, attend school events, join the LMES PTO, and communicate with our dedicated staff. Together, we can create a collaborative partnership that will ensure the academic and personal growth of every student. Be sure to check our Smore newsletter for upcoming and important events as well as newsworthy items.

As I look ahead to my 9th year here, I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Long Meadow Elementary School, and I look forward to getting to know each of you and our students throughout the year. Together, we can create a vibrant and successful learning community. Thank you for entrusting us with your children's education. Here's to a fantastic school year filled with growth, laughter, and endless possibilities!

Sincerely,
Chris Wermuth, Principal
